Official opening of the District Court in Nowy Sącz

On April 6, 2018, the grand opening of the new headquarters of the District Court in Nowy Sącz took place. The investment is the first government project in Poland implemented on the basis of a public-private partnership.

Warbud S.A. was the general contractor for the project. According to the contract, construction was supposed to be completed in April 2018, but thanks to the hard work of our colleagues, the building was put into use in December last year. From that moment on, the departments of the Court, which until then had been scattered around Nowy Sącz, were moved to the new headquarters at 1 Dr. Smolika Street.

‒ This solution is very beneficial from the point of view of court management, particularly in terms of managing a team of employees. It also greatly facilitates matters for clients of the justice system in the broad sense. Our clients can now handle all their matters requiring contact with the court in one place, said Dariusz Rams, President of the District Court in Nowy Sącz.

The investment, worth nearly PLN 125 million, was jointly financed by Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego and Warbud, whose task was also to design the court building. Now, in accordance with the Public-Private Partnership formula, we, VINCI Facilities Polska, will manage the building for 20 years, being responsible for technical services, cleaning and outdoor areas, physical security, cafeteria services, and utility consumption.

‒ As a Private Partner, we provide comprehensive services: design, construction, financing, and management. A characteristic feature of the PPP formula is that we build for ourselves, so to speak. We will maintain the facility for 20 years, and we will bear the costs of its repairs and energy consumption. That is why we designed the building in a thoughtful manner and focused on high-quality materials and technologies. From the very beginning, we have viewed this project as exceptionally prestigious, which is why we have assigned our most outstanding engineers to its implementation, commented Mirosław Józefczuk, member of the management board of Warbud S.A. and proxy at VINCI Facilities Polska Sp. z o.o.
