On the other side of the world

On March 3, 2017, VINCI Facilities inaugurated its latest international branch. The group’s reach has expanded to include French Polynesia, an overseas territory of France in the Pacific Ocean.

French Polynesia comprises five archipelagos and more than 150 islands with a total area of 3,521 km². It has a population of just over a quarter of a million. Despite this, the newly established company employs 90 people and generates annual revenue of €12.5 million.

“We work with Ta’aone Hospital, for which we provide a range of services, taking care of the building, its users, and the environment. Our responsibilities include, among other things, the inspection and maintenance of air conditioning and ventilation systems, electrical and lighting installations, boiler rooms, structured cabling, and telecommunications equipment,” says the company’s CEO, Thibaud Giraud.

The ambition of all employees is to further develop the company by implementing innovative solutions. “VINCI Facilities offers us new technologies and tools, including the HelpDesk platform for communication between users and technical support, planning, notifying, ordering and controlling the execution of work, managing the spare parts warehouse, keeping a register of installations and equipment with the help of QR codes, archiving technical documentation, generating periodic reports, settling media consumption, creating a digital model of the building… These instruments give us a huge advantage over the competition,” assures Thibaud Giraud.
