Germany: VINCI Facilities wins major PPP contract
 
                                            The Cologne authorities awarded a contract for the restructuring, expansion, and management of four schools for a period of 29 years to VINCI Facilities SKE, a subsidiary of VINCI Energies in Germany. The agreement came into force on January 1, 2018.
The total value of the PPP project amounted to €163.5 million. Its scope includes the renovation of a number of educational facilities important for the city, the construction of several new buildings, and the administration of these properties, i.e., maintenance of the facilities and adjacent outdoor areas, physical security, and energy consumption management.
The schools, which will serve 2,900 students and 230 teachers, are located in three districts of Cologne: Mülheim (Elly Heuss Knapp Realschule and Ferdinand Lassalle Realschule), Ossendorf (Catholic Primary School), and Weiden (Georg Büchner Gymnasium).

VINCI Energies in Germany generates revenues of nearly €2 billion, of which more than €300 million comes from the facility management sector, provided by VINCI Facilities SKE.
To date, VINCI Facilities SKE has completed 15 projects under public-private partnerships.
