VINCI inaugurates Leonard:Paris

On June 7, VINCI inaugurated Leonard:Paris, an open laboratory focused on cities and infrastructure of the future. Located in Paris’s 12th arrondissement, the facility will serve as the new home for four of the Group’s research and development units:

LEONARD

– a program launched in July 2017, aimed at setting new directions for development, implementing innovations, forecasting market trends,

THE FABRIQUE DE LA CITÉ

– a group of experts appointed by the VINCI Group to address the issue of urban transformation,

THE FONDATION D’ENTREPRISE VINCI POUR LA CITÉ

– a foundation supporting projects aimed at bringing about lasting solutions that promote the social and professional integration of the poorest people,

THE VINCI-PARISTECH CHAIR IN ECO-DESIGN OF BUILDING COMPLEXES AND INFRASTRUCTURE

– an institution resulting from cooperation between VINCI and technical universities belonging to the ParisTech Institute.

Bringing these organizations together under one roof will allow us to draw on the full range of expertise (scientific, social, urban planning, and business) in one place. Leonard:Paris is primarily intended to serve as a space for collaboration, meetings, and discussion for VINCI employees, experts, entrepreneurs, local authorities, customers, partners, students, researchers, and representatives of civil society. Ultimately, it will offer over 5,000 m² of space, including 50 rooms for teamwork, individual workstations, a café, and a 150-seat conference room bathed in natural light.

“Thanks to the efforts of our technical teams, this impressive site in the heart of the Arc de l’innovation (Innovation Arch) in eastern Paris has been given a complete makeover. It fully reflects the Group’s commitment and determination to move forward into the future,” says Xavier Huillard, Chairman and CEO of VINCI.
